Our 5 Core Values
1. The Presence of God
Kingdom Harvest International values the manifest presence of God. If God's presence does not go before us then we will not go. Doing church without the presence of God is destined to fail. It is in His presence when we are changed "from glory to glory into the same image of God" (2 Cor. 3:18). We believe God is a relational God who delights in meeting with us when we spend time with Him. We believe worship and prayer are integral to creating an atmosphere where the presence of God breathes forth power and reveals the glory of God on earth. In His presence we are complete.
2. The Kingdom of God: Salvation for the world
Kingdom Harvest International values reaching souls for the Kingdom of God (Luke 11:20). We honor Jesus Christ as the worthy King, and we seek first the Kingdom of God in all that we do. We seek to take the Kingdom of God “from the secret place to every place.”
The Kingdom of God is central to all of Christ’s teachings that He taught His disciples.
Kingdom Culture: Love God. Love people. Live in faith. Live obediently. Live eternally focused. Kingdom culture over national culture.
Kingdom Power: The kingdom of God is in power (1 Cor.4:20). The kingdom of God is in you (Luke 17:21). God has given you power and nothing will harm you (Luke 10:19). All that is good will be done according to your faith.
Kingdom Calling: The Great Commission. Proclaiming the gospel of Christ through evangelism. Making disciples of the nations through teaching the Word of God and equipping the saints to do the work of the ministry.
3. The Power of God
Kingdom Harvest International values the power of God through His Word and the Holy Spirit. Many times churches stress the work of the Holy Spirit and neglect the power of God through sound doctrine. At the same time, many other churches focus on sound doctrine but neglect the power of God through the work and leading of the Holy Spirit today.
The disciples were taught to share the Kingdom of God through the demonstration of the Holy Spirit’s power. Supernatural power was evident in their lives. Good oratory skills are not a sufficient substitute for God’s power for effectively sharing the Kingdom of God. At its heart, God’s power manifests to minister to the oppressed, heal the sick, set captives free, and ultimately reveal a “kingdom not of this world.”
We value the Scriptures as the final authority in all areas of life and practical living. And we value the demonstration of the Holy Spirit with His effective ministry tools and gifts for living a victorious life and fulfilling our calling.
4. Equipping Pastors
We value equipping pastors for ministry. We offer to equip those who want to begin full time in ministry as a pastor. We have developed full Bible College level courses that will help prepare any believer for the pastoral ministry. We value pastoral development and are committed to equipping, training, and sending out pastors to serve Christ by helping them discover and develop their spiritual gifts for God’s glory.
We place a high priority on comprehensive Biblical training and empowerment to ensure that every leader and pastor will walk effectively in their calling. Out Bible training material promotes unity and power in the body of Christ. We also seek to develop whole generations of dedicated, passionate and godly ministers for world-changing ministry. [Matthew 9:37-38, Ephesians 4:11-13, Hebrews 13:20-21, Matthew 11:12]
5. Local Church
Kingdom Harvest International values doing ministry together as a church. No one individual has a gift that separates them from the body of Christ. We need one another’s gifts. We simply are better together and work as a team in our ministries and missions. We value all the ministry gifts as found in Ephesians 4 and the spiritual gifts described in 1 Corinthians 12 as being essential to the fulfillment of God’s purpose for the church on earth. It is imperative these gifts work together honoring and valuing one another.
The local church is God’s vehicle for advancing the Kingdom of God. Therefore, Kingdom Harvest International values existing churches and the continued establishment of new churches as the primary means of Kingdom expansion. We respect each independent local church, that it has it's own governance being directly accountable and subject to God alone.
We accept and recognize any gathering of believers in Christ, big or small, where there is definitive pastoral leadership and elders who give direction and oversight to the congregation and who is in agreement with our Statement of Faith & Core Values.
